The story
Café de Tacuba opened in 1912 inside a seventeenth-century palace. Talavera tiles, colonial paintings, vaulted rooms and strolling musicians have framed more than a century of Mexico City life, including the wedding banquet of Diego Rivera and Guadalupe Marín.
